Trepidation

A small background explanation on Erid

Erid was brought into the world both blind and deaf in a torpor like state, only able to see through and experience the outside world through the subconscious meanderings of other's dreams. As his power grew the gods began to fear his all seeing gaze; he peered into the deepest darkest recesses of the mind that many tried to hide away and suppress under a superficial layer of mindless ramblings and passing thoughts. He knew too much, he saw too much, and ultimately ended in his downfall. They cast him down farther into the black abyss, down to depths many feared and abhorred. Forever destined to remain wandering the empty void of eternal sleep, loathed and feared by the gods. Over time images began to slowly filter in though, much to his curiosity. He began to press his mind out, and soon new images began to flood in. He saw new and many strange things, much unlike what he saw whilst in the god's realm. He believes this to be a new realm of existence, outside of theirs, much more mundane and commonplace, filled with many simple emotions and thoughts. Every now and then he finds a mind that brings back a familiar twinge of magic, like the god's magic, that remind him of home. His powers are much weaker now in this plane, the gods cursed him to retain his true form in dreams, and stripped him of fertility so he could not produce children as gifted as he.
