ripples raced out
as she impacted the surface
searing light radiated from her body
tangled starlight crackled in her hair
the once still void was now restless
full of sound and light
the disturbance awoke him
it washed over in waves of heat
it echoed from the deepest depths
it writhed in the blackness
such a feeling had never been felt before
projecting out
he reached into its mind
but struggled to stay
her presence lashed out
keeping him at bay
in a bright flash it was gone
leaving nothing but dust and ash
in its wake
and he was alone again
in the suffocating silence
the stars slowly faded out
and darkness closed in
like an old friend
greeting him
in the familiar embrace
of sleep
